Built-in AI Coach
A Claude-powered chat assistant that answers "where did my time go yesterday?" — and flags burnout before it happens.
Most “AI in time tracking” pitches mean alert spam for managers. Effortr’s AI coach is built to help the person doing the work first.
What it does
- Daily and weekly insights — anomaly flags, focus patterns, burnout signals (low activity + long hours)
- Auto-categorization — suggests a project for untagged time blocks; you confirm
- Chat assistant — individual queries (“where did my time go yesterday?”), manager queries (“who’s at risk of burnout?”)
How we keep it honest (and cheap)
The assistant queries pre-aggregated daily and weekly rollups via Claude tool-use against RLS-scoped database views. It never gets free SQL. Per-org daily token budget. Prompt caching on the system prefix so the same context isn’t re-paid for. Sonnet 4.6 handles deep analysis, Haiku 4.5 handles categorization and simple chat.
