Built-in AI Coach

A Claude-powered chat assistant that answers "where did my time go yesterday?" — and flags burnout before it happens.

Built-in AI Coach

Most “AI in time tracking” pitches mean alert spam for managers. Effortr’s AI coach is built to help the person doing the work first.

What it does

  • Daily and weekly insights — anomaly flags, focus patterns, burnout signals (low activity + long hours)
  • Auto-categorization — suggests a project for untagged time blocks; you confirm
  • Chat assistant — individual queries (“where did my time go yesterday?”), manager queries (“who’s at risk of burnout?”)

How we keep it honest (and cheap)

The assistant queries pre-aggregated daily and weekly rollups via Claude tool-use against RLS-scoped database views. It never gets free SQL. Per-org daily token budget. Prompt caching on the system prefix so the same context isn’t re-paid for. Sonnet 4.6 handles deep analysis, Haiku 4.5 handles categorization and simple chat.
